You Are Exactly Where You Need to Be
A couple of weeks ago, I was sitting in church, and the speaker said something that, at first, felt almost too simple:
“You are exactly where you need to be.”
I remember thinking, “I wish I could feel that right now,” because, honestly, I was feeling a little scattered, a little behind, like I was always chasing what came next instead of living in what was already here.
But that phrase kept rolling around in my mind all week. I caught myself noticing moments I usually rush through, the quiet time I have in the morning, the pause at the stoplight, the tiny gestures of my boys that usually go unnoticed. And I realized I was learning, slowly but surely, to just be okay with where I am.
Not perfect.
Not having it all figured out.
Just okay.
It made me think of the Israelites and the manna. Each morning, they received exactly what they needed for that day. Not yesterday’s leftovers. Not tomorrow’s supply. Just enough for today.
And somehow, I felt God whispering to me in that ancient story: this is your manna.
This is your today. Don’t rush ahead. Don’t look behind. You are enough right here, right now.
I think sometimes we forget that life doesn’t have to be a constant climb or a checklist. Sometimes, loving yourself...and trusting God...means letting yourself pause.
Letting your heart breathe.
Letting your soul rest, even if the world tells you there’s more to do.
So today, maybe pause with me for a minute.
Take a deep breath.
Let yourself notice the small, ordinary, messy, beautiful moments.
And let yourself really feel this: you are exactly where you need to be.
Not by accident.
Not by chance.
But by a quiet, loving design that is bigger than anything we can understand.
💛 Your day, your life, your heart... right here... is enough. Let yourself rest in that truth today.
